Northwestern Mutual Office Buildings Commons Client Kyle Merrill Gilbane, Inc. Location Milwaukee County, WI Total Estimated Cost $450 Million The Northwestern Mutual (NM) Tower and Commons was built in downtown Milwaukee and has an estimated 1.1 million square feet of office, retail and meeting space. The 32-story tower (approximately 550 feet tall) is the second-tallest building in Milwaukee. The project preserves 1,100 downtown jobs while adding 1,900. With its proximity overlooking the Lake Michigan shore, the development has become an instant Milwaukee landmark. The new tower was completed in August 2017. DAAR's surveyors responsibilities included: • Placement of the building on-site • Establishing horizontal and vertical control lines and benchmark floor by floor • As-built existing conditions • Coordination between the design team and contractor • Quality control. Grand Avenue Bridge ​ October 11, 2021 The Grand Avenue Bridge in the City of Wausau, originally constructed in 1964, was re-opened on schedule on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, after extensive repair/reconstruction. The bridge rehabilitation included 3 stages of concrete overlay, expansion joint replacement, and bridge girder painting. DAAR was honored to be part of this successful project. Over 23,000 vehicles per day utilize this critical piece of infrastructure in the heart of the city. Water Management DAAR’s storm water management team has experience in both the public and private sectors and is well-versed in federal, state, and local regulations. Our team has completed numerous design projects including storm sewer design, overland storm water conveyance including bio-swales, detention and retention basin design, and infiltration basin design. He is a strong engineering professional with over 36 years of experience. He has a successful history of working in government administration, having delivered major projects as well as overseeing day to day engineering activity in a major American city. Samir is skilled in Construction Management in addition to demonstrating excellence in decision-making, negotiation, creative problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Mr. Amin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, with a bachelors degree (BS) and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) focused in Civil Engineering. He has been married to his wife Lorri for 37 years and has 6 adult children. Samir has resided in Milwaukee for the last 41 years.

Southeast Freeway Sequencing and Prioritization Study Client Wisconsin Department of Transportation (SE Region) Location Various Counties, WI Total Estimated Cost $2.7 Million A DAAR team defeated other national firms to win this evaluation, which will included a comprehensive study of freeway segments in Southeastern Wisconsin. DAAR led a team of local and national consultants, including Decision Lens and Woolpert. The project considered mitigation opportunities and systems-level corridor planning as well as an alternatives analysis and study of environmental impacts. It also developed and/or re-evaluated design guidance tools used by the client in considering future projects.
