Grand Avenue Bridge ​ October 11, 2021 The Grand Avenue Bridge in the City of Wausau, originally constructed in 1964, was re-opened on schedule on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, after extensive repair/reconstruction. The bridge rehabilitation included 3 stages of concrete overlay, expansion joint replacement, and bridge girder painting. DAAR was honored to be part of this successful project. Over 23,000 vehicles per day utilize this critical piece of infrastructure in the heart of the city.
