Traffic Microsimulation Modeling is a very detailed computerized analysis of individual modes of transportation (vehicles, pedestrians etc.). We utilize discrete time steps to track estimated movements and reactions of each. This is the ultimate attempt to capture realistic flow of estimated traffic on a virtual roadway system.
As transportation engineering advances, it relies heavily on data. With the advancements in technology, data has become easier to collect, store and the demand on engineers to utilize this information has become equally intensive.
