Grand Avenue Bridge ​ October 11, 2021 The Grand Avenue Bridge in the City of Wausau, originally constructed in 1964, was re-opened on schedule on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, after extensive repair/reconstruction. The bridge rehabilitation included 3 stages of concrete overlay, expansion joint replacement, and bridge girder painting. DAAR was honored to be part of this successful project. Over 23,000 vehicles per day utilize this critical piece of infrastructure in the heart of the city. US 14 ​ July 6, 2021 US 14 is back open in Mazomanie after a 3-week closure! This project, a great effort between DAAR and WisDOT, started in early April and will be completed by early fall. Electronic Crossing Sheboygan River, WI Client Ryba-Terra, JV Location Sheboygan County, WI Total Estimated Cost $9,456 Utility and survey services were provided as support for the contractor by providing 3D data on an underground electric line underneath the Sheboygan River through the utilization of the dual SPAR. This work included: establishing horizontal and vertical control on WCCS; locating 400 linear feet of a 13.8kVA electric line that was approximately 30 feet below the surface of the Sheboygan River as well as the survey crew field locating the utility and providing point files. The final product consisted of a CAD file which contained the utility in 3D with the elevations of the river bed and water surface. This was done in a plan and profile format.
