Traffic Microsimulation

Traffic Microsimulation Modeling can be described as a very detailed computerized analysis of individual modes of transportation (vehicles, pedestrians etc.) utilizing discrete time steps to track estimated movements and reactions of each. This is the ultimate attempt to capture realistic flow of estimated traffic on a virtual roadway system.

DAAR utilizes industry standard software packages, PARAMICS and VISSIM to study traffic operations on a variety of roadways. The results produced are not only visually telling; they also provide highly analytical results to study the effectiveness of road designs before they are built.
