Freeway Operations Management
Operations of freeway systems are managed by Traffic Operations Centers or Traffic Management Centers that are established by related state agencies. These centers offer a point of coordination for incident management, transportation data collection, emergency response, roadway condition monitoring, surveillance, emergency responders, law enforcement, work zone managers and other roadway activities.
DAAR provides a plethora of services to support the State Traffic Operations Center in Wisconsin including; traffic operations room management, transportation data analysis, monitoring of data collection devices and data quality, incident based freeway performance measure tracking, and creation of customized data analysis software.
