Samawah Bridges & Roads Construction

In a joint venture with Burj Al-Emaar Company of Iraq, DAAR was awarded the contract to build the project as main contractor of three bridges and their respective approaches over the Euphrates River in Al-Muthanna Governate.

The Ministry of Construction and Housing (MoCH), Republic of Iraq through its implementing agency, State Commission for Roads and Bridges (SCRB) identified the locations of Samawah North, Hilal, and Mahdi for the site of the bridges. Project details include:

  • 26 Month Implementation
  • Bridge Lengths Between 192m to 240m (630ft to 800ft)
  • Alleviating Traffic Jam in Samawah City
  • Incorporation of Modern Architectural Elements
  • Replacement of Floating Pantoon Bridge in Hilal City & Causeway of Mahdi Area
  • The Improvement of Regional Economy, Agricultural Transportation & Humanitarian Situation
  • The Addition of Landmark to Modern Cities of Al-Muthanna Governate
  • Construction will act as an inspiration to Iraqi Society to redevelop the Nation
