DAAR’s Communications Specialists work directly with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region’s Communications Manager to provide support for all public outreach activities. This includes the development of press releases; providing responses to media and legislative inquiries; writing, editing and developing graphics for internal and external publications; and regularly attending project meetings to help prepare and implement public involvement plans.

Project Deliverables:
• Assist in writing, editing, designing and coordinating public information documents for transportation projects in the Southeast Region
• Consult with project staff and review all project information publications
• Develop press releases
• Coordinate and arrange special events
• Assist in legislative outreach and media relations
• Research and write content for various region presentations
• Write, edit, design and coordinate internal communications materials
• Write, edit and maintain all project information on regional project websites
