DAAR provided structure design services on three bridge overlays on I-90, one bridge overlay on an I-90 overpass, and one deck replacement on an I-90 overpass in La Crosse County, WI. The roadway design was performed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region. Close coordination with the region was required to ensure consistency in the project plans and construction documents.
Work included the preparation of concrete overlay plans for haunched slab and steel girder bridges, and deck replacement plans for a parabolic haunched steel girder bridge. Included in the work was the raising of one of the bridge superstructures as well as load ratings for all structures.
